Recent data from Lands of America shows $352 million in land and ranches for sale in the Cornhusker State. This represents a total of 231,177 acres of land for sale in Nebraska. The most expensive piece of land listed for sale on Lands of America recently was $14 million, while the median price for land, ranches and farms in Nebraska came in at $899,090. The average price of land for sale in Nebraska was $1 million. There was 7,989 acres of sold land in Nebraska recorded in March 2018 through the Lands of America sales program. This reflects an increase in sales activity over data from the previous period. The total value of this sold land and rural real estate was $13.0 million. Of the nearly 800, 000 acres of public lands in Nebraska, approximately two percent is open to hunting. Most hunting in the state takes place on private lands.
